6th A and 6th B

Goal: Classifying polygons.

A polygon is a closed plane figure formed by three or more line segments meeting onlyy at their enpoints.

A regular polygon is a polygon with all sides congruent and all angles congruent.

Classifying polygons:

Triangle: 3 sides
Quadrilateral: 4 sides
Pentagon: 5 sides
Hexagon: 6 sides
Heptagon: 7 sides
Octagon: 8 sides
Nonagon: 9 sides

A diagonal is a segment tha joins two vertices of a polygon but is not a side.
